Here are
some interesting facts about "Team Cleaning"
VS a personal cleaner.
I've talked with people who have worked for some of the big cleaning companies and was shocked as to what was going on behind the scenes at a customer's home.
Keep in mind some of these people were cleaning homes just until they found their "dream job" and were making minimum wage. There wasn't much incentive for them since they were working for a company and it was not their business.
You wouldn't think the same rag to wipe off a toilet seat would be used again on your kitchen counters would you?
A shortcut to washing the bathroom floor could be to use the water in the toilet bowl.
Did you know the all talked about "bonding" is all but useless? IF you can figure out WHO might have taken something of yours and can prove it in court with a conviction, then and only then does the bonding company pay up. Good luck with that when there are two or more people in your home.
I've heard how employees rifle through homeowner's belongings in closets and drawers, eat their food, have the television and stereo on during their stay in the home. One of the major problems isn't just theft of "something" but identity theft. You could have papers lying around with account numbers, social security numbers, etc that are fair game to someone who doesn't have a vested interest in the business.
I'm not saying all big companies that have employees are a bad thing but, it's difficult to know which ones are really of any value. There's more to a good service than a cheap price.
When you hire me to do your cleaning it's my responsibility and mine alone to see that you are completely satisfied. I could never fine anyone who would be as detailed and efficient as myself or who would put up with me trying to get them to work to my standards. Most of my customers are from the day I started my business in 2003 and the rest are referrals from them. Word of mouth is my best form of advertising since most of my customers know each other. In fact three are my neighbors.
There's more to a clean room than leaving pretty carpet vacuum lines. The vacuums the big companies use are usually cheap since they end up being damaged or destroyed. Any vacuum can leave pretty lines but my Dyson removes the smallest of particles which are the most important for a really clean carpet.
Then there's the mystery cleaning products. The blue and red
liquids in spray bottles that were mixed from some sort of concentrated bulk purchase.
I supply my own tested safe brand name cleaning supplies because they work.
Even though it is more expensive for me to use I feel it's important to use the correct
product for the surface being cleaned.
I love what I do for a living and it shows in my work. Hard to believe someone really loves to clean but it's true. There's that satisfaction as I look over a house before I leave and see it cleaned as if it were my own home.
